It is an exciting time to be part of our Y! Although still very young in age and a true first generation YMCA with a charter date of May 25, 1995, a lot has transpired since we moved into our new home in 2003. We are no longer the school on the hill, but pure and simple, we are the Y. It seems symbolic that our building and logo stand out so prominently on the hills of Timmins, overlooking our great community.

We have been constantly renovating our location. Bathrooms have been added to one of the classrooms to make a second toddler room and a second bathroom has been installed upstairs in order to expand our before and after school program at the YMCA. We have opened another before and after school site at Bertha Shaw Public School in order to provide care in South Porcupine.

With the changes at our main location, we have become a one stop childcare and day camp location, enabling parents to feel confident and secure that their children are in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.
